It applies to all users in the United States and elsewhere, and it governs all interactions with our digital services.

  • User-provided tags or labels (e.g., “eco-friendly,” “luxury,” “minimalist”, “gifts”, “Anna’s room”, “kitchen”, “good condition”)

d. Derived or Inferred Data
  • AI-generated estimates of item names, brands, models, amounts, and prices
  • Asset metadata associated with your inventory
  • Insurance coverage suggestions (future features)
  • Suggestions on how to proceed with insurance claims (future features)
  • Suggestions to sell items that have high resale value (future features)

e. Technical and Device Data
  • IP address
  • Device type, OS, and version
  • App usage logs
  • Browser type and language
  • Website visit behavior (cookies and analytics)
  • App usage behavior (cookies and analytics)

f. Location and Contact Information

If you enable location-based features or provide contact details, we may collect:

  • Your approximate or precise geolocation (based on GPS, IP address, or Wi-Fi)
  • Your phone number or address (if you provide them during support, onboarding, or export requests)

g. Additional Information You Provide

We may collect additional information that you voluntarily submit through forms, surveys, or conversations across our services, including:

  • Website and in-app forms,
  • Live chat or chatbot interactions (e.g. Brevo)
  • Social media lead ads or survey tools
  • Email campaign links (e.g. “Tell us more” forms)

  • Demographics (e.g. your job title, income range, household size, location)
  • Insurance-related details (e.g. your current insurance provider, premium, claims history, insurance policy uploads)
  • Property-related context and risk data (e.g., number of homes, home ownership status, past disaster experience)
  • Consumption habits, preferences, or attitudes
  • Communication preferences (e.g. whether you prefer updates via email, SMS, or WhatsApp)
  • Preferences, goals, or feedback (e.g., “what do you want to use ReEmber for?”)


This information is used to personalize your experience, segment our audiences, improve product features, and tailor marketing or educational content.

You may choose not to provide some of this information, but doing so may limit access to certain features or personalization.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Operate and provide the App and Site
  • Process and organize your home inventory
  • Generate AI-based estimations for household items
  • Provide context-based inventory insights (e.g., per-room value estimations, risk suggestions)
  • Offer tailored tips or recommendations based on household size, structure, or consumption patterns
  • Improve the accuracy of AI-driven coverage suggestions (e.g., underinsurance warnings)
  • To personalize features based on your location (e.g., disaster-prone regions or insurer-specific inventory formats)
  • To enable support follow-up or identity verification (if you provide a phone number)
  • To comply with regional regulatory or insurance requirements (e.g., location-based policy suggestions)
  • Allow CSV exports of your data
  • Improve the accuracy of our AI models (Basic tier only)
  • Analyze user behavior to improve the product
  • Collect feedback and context for improving product design and targeting
  • Send service-related communications
  • Understand user goals and segment audiences for personalized onboarding, education, or marketing
  • Provide customer support
  • Fulfill legal obligations
  • Send marketing and sales related communications

We may use your contact details to send you service-related messages, product updates, or marketing communications via in-app notifications, email, SMS, or WhatsApp.  

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link, in-app preferences, or by contacting us at [email protected].

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. AI and Automated Processing

ReEmber uses artificial intelligence to:

  • Detect and identify household items from uploaded media
  • Estimate prices, brands, and models of visible items
  • Offer future recommendations (e.g., insurance coverage adequacy)

Important: These outputs are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies. It is your responsibility to review and verify your inventory data. We are not liable for any incorrect outputs used in legal, financial, or insurance-related decisions.

On the Basic plan, your uploaded content may be used to train our AI models. This data is anonymized and handled with strict access controls. Users on Plus and Pro tiers are excluded from model training.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

We rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:

  • Consent: When you create an account, upload media, or accept cookies.
  • Contract: To provide the ReEmber services you request.
  • Legitimate Interests: To improve our services, prevent fraud, and analyze performance.
  • Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your data (subject to retention policies)
  • Export your inventory as a CSV
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where applicable)
  • Control whether location services are enabled in your device settings. We only access location information with your permission and do not track your location in the background.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data:

  • For as long as you have an active account, plus 90 days after account deletion or subscription downgrade (to allow data recovery if needed).
  • Certain anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for analytics or legal compliance.

8. How We Protect Your Data

We use industry-standard encryption, access controls, and monitoring systems to protect your data at rest and in transit. Your data is stored securely on AWS servers located in the United States.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. By using ReEmber, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored and processed in the United States. If you reside outside the U.S., including in the EU, your data may be transferred to and stored in jurisdictions with different privacy laws.

We use Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards where applicable to comply with international data protection requirements.

10. Sharing with Third Parties

We share your data only with:

  • Cloud storage providers (e.g., AWS)
  • AI processing partners (e.g., OpenAI)
  • Reverse image search tools (for price estimation, e.g., Google)
  • Analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar)
  • Communication and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Brevo for email, SMS, chatbot, and lead generation)

These providers are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

11. Profiling and Personalization

We may use certain personal and household context data you provide — including your residence type, household size, consumption habits, or inventory patterns — to create aggregated or individualized profiles. Profiling may be based on your behavior within the App or Site, as well as responses you provide via forms, chatbots, marketing emails, or lead ads. These profiles help us:

  • Tailor recommendations or tips (e.g., suggestions to adjust insurance coverage based on family size)
  • Improve user segmentation for in-app feature rollouts or onboarding
  • Enhance user experience through contextual customization
  • Deliver personalized messaging or content
  • Support future marketing campaigns or advertising (if enabled)

If we use this data for targeted marketing, ad segmentation, or third-party advertising, we will only do so with your consent where required by law. You will be offered the ability to opt out of such profiling either:

We do not make any fully automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on users. You may request more information about profiling by contacting our support team.

12. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our App and website to enhance your experience, analyze usage, and support marketing efforts. These technologies help us understand how you interact with ReEmber, improve our services, and deliver relevant ads where permitted.

ReEmber is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), to:

  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (e.g., geolocation or household profiling), to only what is necessary for providing the service

15. Disclaimer of Liability for AI Accuracy

All AI-generated outputs are estimates only. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of names, brands, or prices detected by our models. You are solely responsible for verifying this information before using it for insurance, legal, or resale purposes.

16. Force Majeure and Data Loss

We are not liable for any data loss caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to server outages, cyberattacks, natural disasters, or changes in third-party services.

18. Changes to This Policy
